Two hours of learning about what falconry is all about, what our birds of prey (and owls) look like and how they live, how to handle them with care, and—finally—what it’s like when a majestic bird of prey lands on your hand.
"This isn't just a standard tourist attraction; it is a breathtaking, intimate encounter with nature that left us completely awestruck. Hands down, it was the absolute best thing we did during our entire trip!"

"Our whole family had the best day at the bird sanctuary. Seeing and learning about all the different birds was awesome but the absolute highlight was of course the flying of the birds. This is definitely a once in a lifetime experience and if you’re in Prague I highly recommend booking this. ✨"

We’ll begin your visit with us by introducing you to the history and basics of falconry over a cup of coffee, tea, or a glass of juice. It’s no coincidence that falconry has earned not only the title of “art,” but also a place on UNESCO’s list of protected cultural heritage.

We’ll continue with a roughly half-hour tour, during which you’ll learn how our bird shelter operates, where the various animals are kept, what their quirks and personalities are, and just how adventurous the daily care of some of these feathered friends can be.
What's in store here?
After the tour, it’s time for a short break. You can relax in our roofed terrace, which is heated during the winter months. This is followed by training on how to handle birds of prey safely and considerately during flight—so that everyone involved, including our animals, feels as comfortable as possible.

The main part of the event is then an hour-long flight display, during which you’ll put the basics of falconry training you’ve just learned into practice. Our trained birds of prey will fly overhead, and a moment later they’ll land on your hand.

You’ll see a common buzzard, three Harris’s hawks, a bald eagle, a griffon vulture, a red kite, and the fastest creature on the planet—the falcon—in flight.
