Are you organizing a town festival, a historical event at a castle, a private corporate event, or perhaps an outdoor birthday party? We offer an unforgettable experience for all participants—young and old, nature lovers and those new to the outdoors alike.
We’ll bring 12 to 15 falconry-trained birds of prey to your event, as well as owls, which we’ve carefully trained from a young age to be comfortable around people. During the show, our birds of prey fly freely just above people’s heads, circle the sky, land on the hands of children and adults alike, or hunt dummy prey.
We combine the flight display with commentary that is both entertaining and packed with facts about the lives of birds of prey and their training. We debunk common myths, explain nature’s often surprising laws, and share with the audience the most interesting stories we’ve gathered over many years of working with these animals.
We have been organizing flight displays featuring birds of prey and owls since 1997, when we began working as court falconers at Konopiště Castle in Central Bohemia. After nearly ten years, we decided to leave this permanent post and devote ourselves to other activities as well.
However, our passion for introducing people to the lives of birds of prey and the art of training them has not waned, which is why we have decided to continue presenting these flight demonstrations.
25 years of experience
Year after year, we enrich the program of dozens of events in the Czech Republic and, until recently, in Germany as well.
We show people what species of birds of prey and owls—many of which are now critically endangered and rare—look like, and how to recognize them in flight.
Our feathered friends are the most precious things we have; they often come directly from our own or partner breeding facilities. It is therefore only natural that ensuring their comfort and well-being is always the top priority for all our performances.
“We never force our birds of prey or owls to do anything that would be uncomfortable or unnatural for them. On the contrary, we always respect the fact that they are predatory creatures with a nature very different from that of dogs or other domestic animals.”
Jana Kolomazníková

It all depends on the organizer’s specific requirements. We can come for an hour, half a day, or a full day. The performance can last an hour or half an hour, depending on how much time you set aside for us in the program.
If we come for the whole day, we can repeat the display (we’ll vary it so that no two performances are the same).
How does it work?
In the meantime, we stay with the birds of prey in a designated area and interact with visitors—answering questions and handing out postcards featuring our animals as souvenirs.
We tailor our presentation to the nature of the event, so at historical events we wear period costumes.
The same goes for our commentary—we focus it on the history of falconry, hunting, or nature, or, especially for weddings and celebrations, we keep it lighthearted.
For all events, a suitable environment must be provided for flight and hunting displays, as well as for any time the birds of prey and owls spend at the venue outside of the performance times. Specific conditions can be found in the list on the right.
The price of our performances varies depending on the type of event, the duration and number of flight demonstrations, and the length of our stay at the event. It typically ranges from 7,000 to 14,000 CZK.
Terms and price
For a flight demonstration, the following is required:
an open space—a grassy area, an open field, a courtyard, or a soccer field
perching spots for birds of prey, such as trees, roofs, or shelters
ensuring a quiet and peaceful environment—there must be no loud music, shooting, historical sword fights, dance performances, etc., taking place nearby
protection from other animals—dogs must be on a leash and, ideally, not bark
For the birds of prey’s stay outside of performances, the following is required:
a shaded area—especially during the summer months, the birds of prey must be able to hide from the sun
a quiet environment—the birds of prey should not be surrounded by visitors on all sides; rather, they should be protected by a physical barrier (shrubs, a building, etc.) on at least one side
